Watch: Fair Lawn Mom Has Sweet Reaction To Surprise Makeover

A 36-year-old mom from Fair Lawn was surprised by a local hair dresser in Zumba Fitness class Saturday with a free makeover.

Angel Martinez of The Originals Salon in Ridgewood chose Julissa Warren for a free makeover with help from salon owner Steven K. Gambutti.

Angel Martinez of The Originals Salon in Ridgewood knows Julissa Warren because from the gym -- Retro Fitness in Fair Lawn.

He said he chose the mom of two because she's so kind to others and deserved something for herself.

Steven K. Gambutti, the owner of The Originals Salon, says giving away free makeovers reminds him and his staff why they went into the beauty industry.

"This is the only profession I know of where we can literally change someone's whole outlook on life in three hours," he said.

"No one got into this business for the money and it's a gift to be able to effect people's lives that way.

"This keeps it real for us."
